HOW TO FIND YOUR DOT ID NUMBER
The complete tire identification number is located
on one side of each tire. It is always just above
the rim and preceded by the letters “DOT”, as
shown in the photo to the right. A minimum of
eight, or a maximum of thirteen Alpha Numeric
characters are needed to capture the complete
Tire Identification Number.
WHAT DO TIRE DOT NUMBERS MEAN?
Looking at the full DOT identification number on
your tire’s sidewall can tell you important information
about the tire, like which plant it was manufactured in
as well as the week and year it was made.
In this example: DOT A10R A123 0121
01 – Manufactured in the 01 week of the year
21 – Manufactured in the year 2021
